Childhood

Childhood is a world of cheers, joy and liberty. This is beyond all worries and strains and is filled with fairy tales, fantasies and colourful dreams. Who can forget his/her early days? Memories of childhood-days bring smile to our faces and take away our unease or anxiety for a while. G. K. Chesterton has very truly quoted “What was wonderful about childhood is that anything in it was a wonder. It was not merely a world full of miracles; it was a miraculous world.”
Children are very pure by heart and hence whatever they act (right or wrong), is full of wholesomeness. Their world is unique which can not be expressed a lot in words. Most of us usually don’t get the chance to understand the feelings of children due to over burden of work and busy life style. Children have their own personality and autonomy. We have to know their behaviour, psychology, feelings and needs in order to shape their personality. We can make them our best friends by our sympathetic approach. Buxton believes that our first duty to children is to make them happy. If we have not made them happy, we have wronged them.
