Viva Carnival is celebrated in Goa (India) annually with great enthusiasm. Like previous years, this time too, the four-day festival was celebrated passionately. The carnival parade started from Dayanand Bandodkar statue, Panaji (the capital of Goa) at around 3:30 pm on 05 March, 2011.

Parade began with the float of King Momo. King Momo welcomed one and all to join in the festivities and taste the carnival spirit. Message was, “Eat, drink, be merry and preserve the beauty of Goa”.

The colorful procession was observed by a big number of tourists and Goans. Each one was full of joy. There were more than 96 floats showing the culture and traditions of Goa. There were floats giving the message to preserve planet earth as well. The whole event was splendid.

The Carnival was organized by the Panaji Carnival Committee and Department of Tourism (Govt. of Goa).

To sum up, it was an unforgettable event with thousands of people....
