11th IIPC World Photography Day Annual Photo Contest-2017


The India International Photographic Council, New Delhi in collaboration of Photo Vision, Bareilly conducted 11th IIPC World Photography Day Annual Photo Contest recently.  A number of photo-artists of around 08 states of India submitted their creative pictures in five sections, i.e. Black and White Pictorial, Colour Pictorial, Nature, Photo-Journalism and Photo-Travel. Around 90 photographs got acceptances, 07 photographs won awards and 16 photographs received Certificates of Merit. Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Mr. Bijan Das and Dr. Kamran Khan were jury members. Mrs. Prerna Verma and Mr. Vijay Kumar Verma (Patrons, Photo Vision, Bareilly), Mr. Gopal Sharma (President-Photo Vision, Bareilly), Mr. Deepak Ghosh and Mr. Bijan Das (Vice Presidents-Photo Vision, Bareilly),  Dr. Kamran Khan and Dr. Lovelesh Dutt (Joint Secretaries-Photo Vision, Bareilly),  Mr. Bipin Mehra (Treasurer-Photo Vision-Bareilly),  Dr. Anupam Sharma, Dr. Mridula Sharma, Dr. T. K. Verma, Mr. Ajit Chatterji, Mr. Sushil Saxena, Mr. Rakesh Kachchal, Mr. Satpal Singh, Mr. Sharad K Mishra, Dr. Sudhanshu Arya, Mr. Abhishek Dwivedi, Mr. Abhay Gangwar, Mr. Anand Shrivastava,  Mrs. Priyanka Sharma contributed their best for the success of this event. The help rendered by Mr. T. Srinivasa Reddy, FIIPC, ARPS, FICS, Hon. PSI – Vijayawada is also praiseworthy.

“10th IIPC World Photography Day Annual Photo Contest-2016”

         Photography is a very popular way of expressing the vision today. The India International Photographic Council’s role in encouraging art of photography is praiseworthy. The IIPC conducted 10th IIPC World Photography Day Annual Photo Contest very recently.  A good number of entries (Nearly 500) from the participants of around 10 states of India were received in five sections, i.e. Black and White Pictorial, Colour Pictorial, Nature, Photo-Journalism and Photo-Travel. A number of photographs got acceptances, 10 photographs won awards and 15 photographs received Certificates of Merit. The award winners are:

Mr. Amal Krishna Das (Howrah), Mr. Radharapu Kumaraswami (Karimnagar), Mr. Vishwas Morye (Mumbai), Mr. Subhash Jirange (Mumbai), Mr. Kothroju Yadagiri (Warangal),  Mr. B. C. Manjappa (Bangalore), Mr. Anup Sah (Nainital) and Mr. Deepak Bartakke (Mumbai).

The jury members were Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Mr. Bijan Das, Mr. Gopal Sharma, Dr. Kamran Khan and Mr. Satpal Singh.

 Photo Vision conducted the exhibition of finest photographs of the competition on 20 and 21 August – 2016 in IMA Hall Bareilly. Miss Shraddha Saxena, a renowned social worker and Gen. Secretary of United Nation’s Youth Association of India was the chief guest of inaugural function. A good number of art lovers visited the exhibition on both days.

The efforts of Mr. Rohit Jaat, Mr. Rohit Umrao, Mr. Sachin Gaur and Mr. Harsh Nigam are greatly admired.

An Exhibition by Photo Vision's Members

Photo Vision, Bareilly (India) organized an exhibition, titled "Drishti-2016 on 12 and 13 March-2016 in IMA Hall. The exhibition consisted of around 100 pictures by the members of Photo Vision which focused on "Shades of Life".  The pictures depicted diverse facets of human life.  Among the participants were Mr. Gopal Sharma, Dr. Tarun Kumar Verma, Mr. Bijan Das, Mr. Deepak Ghosh, Dr. Anupam Sharma, Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Dr. Kamran Khan, Dr. Lovelesh Dutt, Mr. Satpal Singh, Mr. Bipin Mehra, Mr. Rakesh Kachchal and Mr. Gaurang Dixit.  A number of art lovers visited the show and appreciated the creative works.
On this occasion, Dr. Kamran Khan and Mr. Satpal Singh were honoured for their outstanding achievements in the field of art photography.
Mrs. Preeti Srivastava, Deputy Director of Tourism, Bareilly was the chief guest.

“9th IIPC World Photography Day Annual Photo Contest-2015”

         Photography is a very important means of artistic expression today. The contribution of India International Photographic Council for the encouragement of this form of art is commendable. The council organized 9th IIPC World Photography Day Annual Photo Contest recently. The response of participants towards this contest was exciting. A good number of entries (Nearly 565) from the participants of about 15 states of India were received in five categories, namely Black and White Pictorial, Colour Pictorial, Nature, Photo-Journalism and Photo-Travel. About 160 photographs got acceptances, 09 photographs received awards and 15 photographs got Certificates of Merit. The award winners are:

Mr. M. V. RAO (Bandarulanka), Mr. T. Srinivasa Reddy (Vijayawada), Mrs. Sateja Rajwade (Thane), Mr. Mahimala Kyadhar Reddy (Karimnagar), Dr. S. Harinarayan (Bengaluru),  Mr. Ch V. S Vijayabhaskara Rao (Vijayawada), Mr. Mukesh Parpiani (Mumbai), Mr. Patan Hussain Khan (Khammam), and Mr. Subhash Jirange (Mumbai) .

 Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Mr. Bijan Das, Mr. Gopal Sharma, Dr. Kamran Khan and Mr. Satpal Singh were Jury Members.

 Photo Vision organized the exhibition of best photographs of the contest on 18 and 19 August – 2015 in IMA Hall Bareilly. Famous Archaeologist, Dr. Anup Ranjan Mishra was the chief guest of inaugural of this event. He accepted photography as an integral part of various fields of life and an important branch of fine art. Dr. Mishra threw light on the development of photography art in India.  A good number of art lovers witnessed the exhibition on both days.

Goel and Miss Priyanka Sharma gave their valuable contribution for the success of this event. The contribution of Dr. Mridula Sharma and Mr. Sachin Gaur is highly admirable.

IIPC/CAI Photography Workshop at Delhi

The India International Photographic Council and the Camera Art Institute co-organised a photography workshop on 12 October, 2014 at Triveni Kala Sangam-Delhi. The workshop included the topics like Indoor Lighting for Portraits, Art of Composition, Landscape Photography and Wildlife Photography. The ace photo artist Mr. O. P. Sharma described the techniques of Creative Indoor Lighting. He went into the fine details of the artistic use of studio lights. The demonstration of lighting was given on the spot. Mr. Ashok Talwar, an innovative photographer and a film maker gave useful tips for perfect composition. Mr. Talwar, in his talk, displayed a number of stunning images in order to teach the composition methods.  Dr. Pankaj Sharma gave his presentation on Landscape Photography. He threw light on the importance of light, composition, equipments and knowledge of key characteristics of a place. He showed many of his landscape images in support of his talk. On this occasion a slide show on the topic, “Wild Life” was given by Mr. Aseem Sharma. He displayed his images clicked during his trips to various national parks of India and Africa. At last Mr. Hemant Chopra showcased his images of pretty birds and animals. A good number of art lover attended this workshop. The cooperation of Mr. Mohd. Shafi, Mr. Sami-Ur-Rehman and Mr. Piyush Chawla is commendable.
