Manoj Bohra
Born in February, 1965 and based in Jodhpur (India), Manoj Bohra had a deep inclination towards photography since his childhood. His father, Mr. Govind Kishan Bohra was a photo journalist. He used to do photography for the films of his close friend as well. Manoj often tried his hand with his father’s camera. After completing his primary education he started doing wedding photography at the age of 15. Later he learnt the basics of photo journalism from his uncle, Mr. Narayan Das Bohra (Umraoji). As he grew young, he entered into photo journalism seriously. He has worked with many reputed news papers as co-editor and news editor for a period of more than 23 years. Apart from photo journalism he loves clicking portraits.
The photographs clicked by him have earned a big name and fame for him. He has many national and international awards to his credit. His pictures are good examples of composition. He has mastery over capturing colours and moods of his native state, Rajasthan.
Manoj Bohra is a kind hearted man. He always loves helping the beginners. He has conducted many workshops and camps for youngsters. Many art lovers have got benefitted by his tips. He is actively associated with various reputed photographic organisations of India.
He is an eager learner and thinks that seniority should not be a hindrance in the process of learning. He loves playing football, cricket and carom.
