Exploring the World
through his Lens
Dinesh
Mowar
Dinesh Mowar has a pleasing personality
and a mild demeanor, but his passions come alive as soon as he is behind the
camera. An accomplished photographer to the core, he has lived his life through
the lenses. He has captured nature in
its various moods and colors, in different forms and shapes, rendering a
profound meaning to his photographs. Though he holds the prestigious AFIAP,
FFIP, AIIPC, FIP-5*, IIPC Platinum accolades in photography, he is quite
humble. He not only has produced exceptional photographs but also has mentored
aspiring photographers to become more proficient to ensure that the legacy
continues.
Born in the summer of 1949 in Faizabad
UP, Dinesh Mowar has spent most of his life in the city of lakes - Bhopal.
Though a civil engineer by profession, his heart always leaned towards
photography. After retiring from his professional life in 2009, he committed
himself completely to his passion. His journey as a photographer started in
1970 as a Black & White photographer. In 1977, his first photograph was
exhibited in BIMB INDIAN SALON Bhopal, and since then, Dinesh has never looked
back. His works have been published across India and abroad, in more than 10
counties - Bangladesh, Scotland, UK, Singapore, Honk Kong, Belgium, Luxemburg,
Germany Pakistan, France, and Hungry. After proving his mettle as a Black
&White photographer, in 1986 he started experimenting with colour
photography. With his prowess in using light to capture the shades of various
colors, he provided a new depth to his photographs. The pictures were more
alluring, and his work got more and more popular across the nation.
He has been conferred over 250 awards
since he clicked his first picture in 1977. He has the distinction of being the
only Indian to represent India in Kowloon Salon of Hongkong From 1990-1992. He
was rated amongst the top ten Indian photographers for seven years between 1990
and 2010. He has also been a standing jury member of the Photo Lovers
International circuit since 2004, Photo Lovers Grand Digital International
Circuit since 2010, and Photo Journalists Society, Jodhpur since 2014.
His magnum-opus, a black and white
picture, “Playful”, has been accepted at all the salons where it was submitted
both in India and abroad. The same picture received 1st price in 1982 PAB salon
Kolkata, and then in YPS salon Bengaluru. Later, in PSI salon Mumbai this
picture received two awards in 1983 - first award and best technique award. He
has conducted various exhibitions, both solo and group, showcasing his
beautiful pictures to the audience all across India, winning their hearts, and
making an indelible impression on their minds. He has also published articles
in various photography magazines and newspapers, sharing his wealth of
knowledge and experience.
Dinesh is currently spending a
leisurely but contented life with his daughters and grandchildren. He is still
pursuing his love of photography, perfecting himself every day, and teaching
his daughters and grandchildren the art that he cherished all his life. His
models and inspiration behind his career have been his better half and his
beautiful daughters. His next-gen models will be his 5 precious grandkids
He remains an avid traveler and has
been to almost all parts of India and in the west of the USA. Now that he has a
lot more time in his hands, he spends it wisely with his camera in his hands
and close proximity to nature, exploring and capturing beauty through his
lenses.
