Capturing Colours of Dusk

Capturing Colours of Dusk
....
Dear Friends,
---
A pleasant evening is a good source of moody photographs. Apart from gentle light, evenings often offer vibrant hues which help in getting painting like images. A few points can help us achieving fantastic results:
......
1. We should set the ISO of our camera at the lower end (such as 80 or 100) as this will help us getting noise free and fine results.
2. We have to use a small aperture to get maximum depth in the scene.
3. Due to the use of small aperture in low light condition shutter speed goes very down. This results into camera shake. In such situation the use of a firm tripod is always useful.
4. The colours of dusk are often so dominating that we divert from our goal sometimes. For example, if we observe colourful formation of clouds around us, we will concentrate on clouds only. This is a mistaken approach. Including a part of land, hill, any water body or tree can add meaning to the photograph.
5. We have to be very quick while shooting late evenings because the sun during this time goes down very fast. A little delay can sometimes hinder us from getting an excellent photograph.
6. Under exposing the frame slightly can enrich the details and colours in the prospect. But the excess of under exposure can spoil the image.
