Photography With A Mobile Phone Camera
Friends,
A good photograph no doubt needs a good camera but this is one’s vision which in fact creates a marvelous image. With a few important points kept in mind, we can create pretty photographs through our mobile phone camera as well.
1. We must try to photograph in proper light. Mobile phone cameras often fail to capture well in dull light. However a high end camera is able to capture fine images in low light also. If mobile phone camera has flash light option, it can take bright shots.
2. We should neither go very far from our subject nor should we go very close to it. Going extremely far will make the subject very small and going very close to our subject will result into distorted images.
3. We have to compose our image well at the time of shooting. Normally a mobile phone camera has a small sensor which produces small images. If we crop such images later, they become inferior in their quality. Now-a-days few advanced mobile phone cameras have good quality sensors also.
4. Below mentioned basic rules of composition help in taking a better photograph:
A. If we are photographing a landscape, supporting objects, such as a house or a tree should be placed a little away from centre.
B. We should avoid disturbing objects, such as, electric poles/wires, discarded items etc. in our photograph.
C. The feel of harmony and balance between different subjects is always appreciated.
D. We should try to click the picture with freshness of approach.
E. We have to leave some space at all the edges of image. A very tight composition is not valued.
5. Since mobile phone cameras are light weighted, we have to hold them very sturdily in order to avoid shake.
6. We should stay away from using the digital zoom of our camera because this will lessen the quality of our photograph. If our camera is equipped with an optical zoom, we are lucky. Optical zoom helps taking superior images.
7. A highest possible resolution is always recommended to achieve an image of fine quality.
8. Since our equipment is very important for us, we must take care of it at any cost. Careful use of our camera is always needed. Specially, the lens of our mobile phone camera is a vital and sophisticated part. We have to avoid any type of scratch or spot on the lens.
9. Above all, a good image depends upon one’s creative approach. This is our visualization that results into a good photograph.
