Photographing the Beauty of Uttarakhand
Chetan Kapoor
Born on 9 November 1979, Chetan Kapoor belongs to Almora, the cultural capital of Uttarakhand, (India). Professionally
he a businessman, but his first love has been photography since his childhood
days. This was Mr. Deep Chandra Karki, his school teacher during class 12 who
first taught him essential basics of photography. He was lucky enough that
after his schooling his uncle, Mr. Threesh Kapoor, a renowned photographer was
with him as a true guide. The magical landscapes of Threesh Kapoor left a deep impact
on Chetan’s mind and soul and he began to photograph the beauty of his native
state, Uttarakhand wholeheartedly.
He has participated in
many photography contests at national level and a number of his photographs
have been awarded in these contests. His pictures have been exhibited in
various renowned shows countrywide.
Chetan loves helping the
beginners. He tells, “Whatever I have learned in the field of photography, I
want to share it all with upcoming photographers. This gives deep
satisfaction to my heart.” He is always found of helping photography
enthusiasts of his town. Chetan is a source of inspiration for his contemporary
photographers and for the new generation photographers as well.
