Kailash Mittal

Born in Kukshi town of Madhya Pradesh (India), Kailash Mittal, after completing his B. Com, came in touch of a senior photographer of Dhar District, Mr. Ramesh Soni, who used to run his own photo studio. Mr. Soni motivated him to learn photography. Kailash Mittal learnt the necessary basics of photography from Mr. Soni. Hereafter the life of Kailash Mittal got completely changed. In 1983 he came to Indore in search of a job. Soon he joined famous news paper, Navbharat as photo journalist. He has been rendering his services to the same news paper till now. As a photo journalist he has captured many important events and celebrities.

After 1990 Kailash Mittal met a renowned pictorial photographer, Mr. Sanat Bandi. His works left a deep impact on Kailash Mittal’s mind and he got inclined towards creative photography. He became very conscious for light and composition, and this consciousness is evident in his photographs. His pictures are capable to attract viewers’ attention due to excellent use of light and strong composition. He is well known for his marvellous pictorial photographs.

Kailash Mittal has received various prestigious awards at national and international levels. He is recipient of National Photography Award, Govt. of India. The India International Photographic Council has honoured him with most coveted Associateship.
