A True Follower of Fine Art : Chandan. D. Naik. Gaonkar

A resident of Panaji, the capital city of Goa (India), Chandan. D. Naik. Gaonkar is a versatile artist. Photography, Painting, Reading, Writing, Music etc. are his hobbies. But he prefers photography as the most efficient means of expression. “The soul of a photograph is its originality”, thinks Chandan and thus he doesn’t believe in manipulating a picture. “Everything in this world is the creation of God. We can not add or remove anything to it. So we should present a subject through our photograph in its real shape”, adds Chandan. He is a regular participant in art photography exhibitions of the country and has won several awards. Few of them are: - 2nd Award in Student Category in 29th Goa State Art Exhibition (2003-04), 10th place in All India Photo Journalism Competition held at Allahabad (2004), Award in Goa Monsoon Photo Marathon (2006) and Certificate of Merit in IIPC Annual Contest (2007). He is a member of India International Photographic, Council, Delhi and Federation of Indian Photography, Kolkata as well. Apart from art photography he loves serving the people in need. This gives him self satisfaction. Chandan is a gifted artist and his future seems to be full of infinite possibilities.
